A women was asked to leave park in Berlin, MD by a police officer after sitting on a bench.
The women says that she was watching her son play baseball with her husband when the officer approached.
According to the husband: 'When he got within arm's reach of my wife he just put out his finger right in her face and said, sit down on that bench right now.'
When asked what laws had been broken the officer decided to call for backup.
Taking a look at the park rules - nowhere does it say you cannot sit in the benches.
The officer proceeded by telling the couple to 'leave the park or I will arrest you.'
'I was shocked, I was embarrassed, I was humiliated in front of my children. I was at a public facility, minding my own business not violating any laws, and he decided to harass me.'
The couple have filed a harassment complaint about the incident but are yet to have recieved an apology.
