All across the UK today shoppers in Asda supermarket were left in massive queues after the card payment systems went down.
As frustration set in many shoppers abandoned their trolly's with one Dagenham man leaving £250 worth of items behind.
One angry shopper tweeted: 'It was like the world was ending is in @asda. Card machines weren't working so there were massive queues, trolls & baskets dumped everywhere.'
Dagenham, the Isle of Dogs, Mitcham and Leyton Mills stores were all known to be affected by the card failure.
On twitter Asda said: 'We're aware of an issue with our store's accepting card payments & are working to fix it asap, we're sorry for any inconvenience cause:('
