A club bouncer left a women who bought a new dress in celebration of here recent weight lose achievement of 20lbs embarrassed, after telling her the only way she is getting in was 'to pass the hole hoop test'.
Outside the Mishigo club in Reigate, Kelly Twine aged 27 feared she would have to take the hole hoop test publicly to prove it would fit.
Kelly said: 'My friend and I had been working so hard with our diet and running regularly that I'd bought a new dress to celebrate.
'It was my friends birthday so we made a real effort, getting slammed up, wearing little dresses - I felt good about myself.'
'But when I got inside and asked about the entry fee the doorman that had shown me inside said quite loudly:
'She'll have to take the hoola hoop test first'.
'I was so embarrassed. I asked him to repeat it but he said it was private 'private joke'. I told him I knew exactly what he’s said and he just laughed so I left.
'Nobody should be made to feel bad about their size. I have suffered an eating disorder which is why I'd been really careful to lose weight sensibly and slowly. Luckily, I'm now a strong person and his comments won't effect me'
'But what if someone more vulnerable had been on the receiving end of his vile discrimination?'
'There are laws against discriminating against peoples race and sex. There should be a law against discriminating against peoples size'.
Within an hour of sending and email to the club Kelly got an apology from the club who said that the man involved did not work for the club rather a hired security firm but has been banned from working at the club in the future.
