Five dead after plane crashes at Malta International Airport

An accident causing a plan taking off from from Malta International Airport has left five people dead.

The plane was believed to be carrying EU boarder officials to Misrata in Libya.

Reports say that there are no remaining survivors from the crash.

According to witnesses the plane appeared to rise before veering to right before heading 'straight into the ground'.

For the time being all flight arriving and departing from the airport in Luqa have been cancelled.
