Horse meat sold as beef by 2 men to UK meat industry

In London Crown Court the two men accused of trying to arrange the sale of horse meat mixed with beef as 100 percent beef have admitted to the allegations.

Alex Beech aged 44 from Hull and Ulrik Nielsen aged 57 from Denmark planned to mix the horse meat with the beef and pass it off as beef to the meat industry in the United Kingdom.

The offence was alleged to of happened between the dates of January 1st and October 31st, 2012.

Another man named Andronicos Sideras aged 54 from Southgate, London was also accused but has denied the allegations thus far and will stand trial on July the 3rd.
